I think what Derp thought - correct me if I'm wrong - saying that you should put more variations in your track was about the main melody, because it's just the same riff with different synths playing it!
I suggest you to take a progressive track you love from a known producer (Levels - Avicii, Deadmau5 tracks or even Resurrection - Axwell's Re-Cut Club Version), put it in your DAW software and try to see the track's construction; how many bars for the main parts, where does breakdown drops etc...
Then you'll have a more structured track!
